Published March 12, 2020

WASHINGTON, March 12, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Women's History Month, SCORE, the nation's largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, is pleased to announce the launch of the Women's Resource Center, an innovative, state of the art content hub designed to support and inspire women small business owners at every stage of their business. The free resource center provides on-demand content, women-centered networking opportunities and the revolutionary Startup Roadmap.

"We know that women are starting businesses faster than the national average, and we want to ensure they have access to the tools, training, information and connections that support their success," said Candice Stennett, Vice President of Marketing at SCORE. "This new resource center provides a central hub for women entrepreneurs at every stage of their business."

"SCORE has had such an instrumental impact on our business. It is hard to define in words how thankful we are for the success they have helped us create," said Theresa Paradise and Marcia Connelley, owners of a Massage Envy franchise location. "They have believed in us from day one and have molded us into the successful owners we are today."

The Women's Resource Center contains an abundance of specialized materials that will be continuously developed and refreshed to support women small business owners throughout the life of their business. Resources include:

  • Original audio, visual and print content focused specifically on women entrepreneurship
  • A list of associations and networking groups for women small business leaders
  • Success stories and lessons learned from successful women small business owners
  • The step-by-step Startup Roadmap
  • The opportunity to request a free business mentor

Entrepreneurs who work with a mentor are five times more likely to start a business than those who do not have a mentor, according to data from the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Women's Resource Center is designed to make business mentoring even more successful. Click here to access the Women's Resource Center.
